Gary O’Donovan has lectured for over 30 years for the WSET in the Cork region of Ireland covering Levels 1, 2 and 3 in wines,
Gary has spent a lifetime in the drinks industry and has travelled extensively in the wine world, with this unique background Gary loves giving back wine knowledge to students through his wine courses and vast experience in this field.

Experience, humour and expertise are combined to give the best possible student experience and success in the wine courses offered. 

Gary is a member of the champagne academy since 1994 and diploma holder (Level 4 Wines) since 1995 and was chairman of the national off-license association Ireland for seven years up to 2024.

Gary’s day job is of managing director and head buyer for the O’Donovan’s off-licence group Cork since 1994. Finally, Gary sees wine lecturing as a labour of love and aims to provide the best mentoring possible for all his students
