Lisa O’ Doherty

Chief Sommelier

Lisa has a strong food and wine background, starting as a restaurant supervisor at Dublin’s 5-Star Shelbourne Hotel while studying Bar and Hotel Management.

She became the Sommelier at No. 27 the Green and won Sommelier of the Year 2003, later representing Ireland in European Championships.

In 2003, she joined the 5 Red Star K Club Hotel & Spa as Chief Sommelier, managing its renowned wine cellar, purchasing, training staff, and hosting tastings. She has lectured for the Wineboard of Ireland and the Irish Guild of Sommeliers, training young professionals.

Lisa has contributed to several publications, including The Fine Wine and Food Guide and The K Mag.

In 2017, she won the Champagne Academy Golden Magnum, and in 2019, she became the official wine expert for The Irish Parliament. She also leads exclusive wine tours and buying trips worldwide.

In 2024, Lisa was a member of the Irish team at The World Wine Tasting Championships, held at Chateau Dauzac in Bordeaux — the first time Ireland has competed in this prestigious competition
